An app to aid teachers in classrooms

0

Teachers in Karnataka now have a new way to make their lessons interesting for their class. Meghshala trust, a non-profit organisation supported by Tata Trusts, recently launched its app, Meghshala which contains Teachkits – multimedia lessons for class 1 to 8 in Maths, Science, English and Social Studies. The lessons available in three languages (Kannada, English and Hindi) are divided into two components – student slides and teacher instructions. While student slides contain text, images, videos, and questions for students, teacher instruction slides are visible only to teachers and provide them with detailed support to implement the lessons in an engaging way. Teachers can also post videos or pictures and seek help, if required. The app also has a discussion forum, wherein teachers can share content or talk about their teaching techniques. There are more than 2,500 lessons available on this free app.
