Raghav Global School, Noida, won The Best School Garden Award – Main School as well as Pre-School for the fourth consecutive year at the recently held 34th Annual Noida Flower Show 2020. The school also won several awards in floral arrangement and vegetable carving category.
“Sustainable practices, in every aspect of life is what we teach at Raghav Global School, not just in action but in spirit as well. To leave a healthier world for future generations is not an option or a choice, it’s a necessity. We need to work in every possible way to achieve it, more than ever now before it is too late,” the school said. Keeping this theme in mind, RGS Noida set up a special display at the Flower Show highlighting the importance of UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030. It included everything related to sustainability through simple practices of refusing, reducing, reusing, recycling and refurbishing. Re-purposing discarded things made it a zero wastage and zero expenditure project which helped extensively in promoting the importance of sustainability. “Our aim was to showcase the same to the community and make them aware of how easily doable these practices are.”
Visitors were wonderstruck upon seeing old/unused or discarded things converted into marvellous art pieces and beautiful planters. The special display was a centre of attraction at the show, promoting – Sustainable Living and Lifelong Learning, the school’s mission.
