The prestigious ‘Tenali exams’ are described as a ‘marquee institution in the field of study of Shastras.’ The exams have 14 levels and is taken twice a year by students studying the ‘Shastras.’ As per indictoday.com, “Tenali exam has a stature, an aura, that can create an awe comparable to what a person in the West can feel for, say, an Ivy League institution in the US or ‘Ox-bridge’ in the UK.”
Tenali Exams operates like an ‘open university.’ Students study as per the traditional ‘Griha Gurukula’ system in different parts of the country, and come to Tenali twice a year along with their gurus for both written as well as oral semester exams. After a period of about six years of study, these students become eligible to take the ‘Mahapariksha.’
