With an aim to encourage children to understand the essentials of hygiene and health necessary to address challenges presented by coronavirus pandemic, Katha has released an e-book titled, The Mystery Of The Missing Soap.
The story of the book revolves around the evil asura, Tobakachi, who wishes to conquer India by spreading the deadly Coronavirus among its people. The book is a one-stop guide for children to know how to protect themselves from this pandemic, as it is filled with interesting facts and do’s and dont’s that children should follow.
Katha is sure that the lucid language used in the book, its attractive design and layout, and the ease of downloading it, will attract children towards it. The e-book is currently available in english, hindi and tamil languages. The organisation is working hard to bring out its marathi and assamese version.
“The idea is to reach out to everyone, including children from low-income communities, and hence, anybody can read the book for free. All they need is an internet connection or a smartphone/ laptop/ any other device that supports an internet connection. Our objective is to protect our children from this pandemic, as much as is possible, and awareness is crucial for the same,” said Geeta Dharmarajan, founder, Katha.
While the e-book can be read for free on https://books.katha.org/e-books, it will soon be available at a nominal price on Amazon Kindle.
