Department of Posts is organising Universal Postal Union (UPU)’s 2021 International Letter Writing Competition for school students in India. The subject for the competition is – Write a letter to a family member about your experience with COVID-19. School going children up-to the age of 15 years as on 31 March 2021 are eligible to participate in the competition.
About the competition:
- The competition may be conducted in schools/centres by the concerned postal circle of the state
- Students also have been given the option of participating in the competition from their home, that is, without their physical appearance at their schools/centres. These candidates need to send their entries through speed post to the designated nodal officer of the concerned postal circle office along with their credentials by April 5.
- Prizes include cash prizes and a chance to win a trip to the UPU headquarters in Switzerland.
- The best entry at the national level shall qualify as the official Indian entry for the international level competition.
