CBSE has released the Date Sheet for both class-X and class XII for Board examination 2021. Date sheet has been released nearly three months before so that students can make their study plan and overcome the problems faced during the pandemic. Features of the date sheet are:
1. Sufficient time has been given between the exams of two main subjects in both the classes. This will reduce the stress of students and help them in better preparations for the exams.
2. Class-XII exams would be conducted in two shifts to reduce the number of days of exams. In second shift, exams of the subjects which are not offered by students of schools situated abroad will be conducted.
3. In second shift, exams on 4 days will be conducted. On these days, in morning shift, exams of class-X of main subjects will be conducted in which maximum number of exam centres will be used. During afternnon shift, only in a few exam centres, exams will be conducted.
4. No school staff who had worked in morning shift will be given duty in afternonn shift to de-burden them.
5. Total number of days for conducting exams are less this year than the previous years. In 2020, exam schedule was of 45 days. HOwever, in 2021, exam schedule is of 39 days.
6. In class-X, exams of 75 subjects and in class-XII, exams of 111 subjects will be conducted.
7. Date sheet has also been prepared in such a manner that on any day, total number of students in an exam centre would not be more. This will help the exam centres in strictly following the covid-19 safety norms and management of the exam.
