The season of college admissions has begun. So before you rush to apply for admission, don’t forget to check whether the college/university is authorised to give you degrees or not. In the interest of students, University Grants Commission (UGC) recently released a list of 24 fake universities. The commission warned students that these 24 self-styled, unrecognised institutions are functioning in contravention of the UGC Act and are not entitled to confer any degrees.

Meanwhile, as far as the institution, Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, Lucknow, UP, is concerned, the matter is subjudice before the District Judge, Lucknow.
