Skills And You (SAY) recently organised its annual event, Curio Conclave, in New Delhi. The theme of this year’s conclave was ‘Change Classroom Ecosystem.’
The event is held every year to raise awareness about the importance of developing creativity in teaching methods and felicitate teachers and schools which have implemented ‘Curio – The Kindergarten Curriculum’ in their classrooms. This year, 65 mentors (organisers had received more than 150 entries) were awarded for their excellence in the domain.
About 200 people comprising eminent educationists, teachers, school leaders and others attended the event. A panel discussion on the topic, ‘Learner – The Nucleus of All Action’ was also held during the day-long meet. Among those present included educationist Paramjit Kaur Narang; Ashok Pandey, Director, Ahlcon International School; Rita Singh, Director, Indirapuram Group of Institution; Sushma Sharma, Director of Academics at Veative Labs; Dr Priti Ojha, Principal, Delhi International School; Arunabh Singh, Director, Nehru World School, and others.
Curio is a comprehensive theme based kindergarten curriculum, aiming at holistic development of learners in early stages of schooling. The programme comprises four levels with varied month wise themes. It adopts ‘Inquiry based learning’ approach, and promotes problem solving skills among children. The company believes that early years of learning should focus on congenial atmosphere to help the overall development of the tender minds.
