Across the country, parents are settling into the idea that the current coronavirus outbreak will require many to take over for teachers and childcare providers and homeschool their children for the foreseeable future.
Learning resources for both primary and middle schools – covering English, Maths, and Science for Classes 1-8 will now be available free of charge through its platform Collins Digital Home Learning until schools reopen.
And parents now having to unexpectedly homeschool their kids can get free material on the platform, with various interactive activities and learning tools designed to keep the child engaged while learning supported by many hours of animations and videos.
Ananth Padmanabhan, CEO, HarperCollins India, said, “Teachers and students in India are already using Collins Learning digital resources in their classrooms, and we have now extended free access to parents who have children at home. These new digital textbooks for core subjects English, Maths and Science have many hours of learning and fun including animations, videos, worksheets and practise material, along with a free dictionary. With a simple child-friendly interface and a newly created multi-subject textbook for each age group between Classes 1 – 8, these books will help the child continue learning.”
