Students of Noida’s Adarsh Prathmik Vidyalaya were in for a treat recently when volunteers from Ahem Asmi Trust organised a week-long Masti Ki Paathshala for them. Led by the dynamic duo of Latika Shukla and Sandhya Randev, the summer camp set out to transform educational spaces and make a lasting impression on young minds. Forty-five to fifty enthusiastic students dove into a whirlwind of activities, from science projects and dancing to yoga, drawing and public speaking. The camp, which wrapped up recently, sparked curiosity and creativity in every child, leaving them brimming with new ideas and skills.
The dedicated volunteers, an eclectic mix of individuals from other schools, EduTech startups, and diverse professional backgrounds, were pivotal in the camp’s success. Shukla emphasised the importance of making learning an enjoyable experience, while Randev highlighted the camp’s role in fostering holistic development. The effusive feedback from students was a testament to the camp’s impactful and thoughtful design.
Witnessing the joy of students running towards us to greet us with a cheerful ‘Good morning’ and presenting small crafts as tokens of appreciation was a heartwarming experience, filled with the purest form of innocence and love. Our presence not only enhanced the learning experience but also fostered a sense of belonging and happiness among the students.
From sketching and yoga to creating science projects and dancing, the camp spread joy through skill learning. As it wrapped up, it left a legacy of joyful memories and enriched young minds, setting a new benchmark for summer learning programmes. The bonds formed and the enthusiasm witnessed during this camp highlighted the transformative power of education and the lasting impact of dedicated mentorship.
